  • Only while it’s live. Families are asked only while the waiver is Active and inside its seasons and Availability Window.
  • Only where it’s attached. Programs use Waiver Requirement. Passes and store products use Waivers before purchase. With Event Ticketing on, an event’s Required waivers are checked at ticket scan, not checkout.
  • Prompts lock at publish. Signup and login prompts are fixed once the waiver is published.
  • Age comes from the birth date. Below Minimum age to sign for yourself, a parent or guardian signs instead.
Where to find it. In Athletes > Waivers, choose Create Waiver, or Edit Waiver from a waiver’s row menu. Prompts, seasons and dates sit under When it’s asked; age and signer rules under Who signs and ages. Is it offered right now? Check the list’s Availability column. The Seasons card appears only if your club uses seasons. Leave it empty for any season. Available from and Available until can each be blank, and neither shortens a signature already given (that’s the Signature Validity Period, see expiry and re-signing). A required waiver that isn’t offered is skipped at checkout rather than blocking it. Purchases. Programs, events, competitions, bookings and memberships ask for the waivers selected on their Waiver Requirement. Passes and store products use Waivers before purchase. On a pass, the buyer picks an athlete and signs for them. On a store product, the purchasing account signs, and an athlete’s signature doesn’t cover it. Either way, the family can’t finish checkout until they sign, and existing valid signatures are reused. Event tickets. With Event Ticketing on, an event’s Required waivers are signed after purchase, when each ticket is completed, and a ticket can’t be scanned until they are. Signup and login prompts. When should account holders see this waiver? has three choices:
  • Only when required by a purchase or invitation: the default, with no separate prompt.
  • New club accounts: accounts that join after you publish.
  • New and existing club accounts at login: existing accounts too, when they sign in.
The last two add Who is this waiver for? (The account holder or Each eligible athlete) and Require signing before continuing (on by default). Families see the waiver on a One more thing page: a required one must be signed to continue, and an optional one offers Skip this version, once per revision. Which ages need this waiver? Minimum athlete age and Maximum athlete age both include the age entered; blank means all ages. Age is worked out from the athlete’s birth date on the day of signing, and a family with no birth date on file is asked for it first. An athlete outside the limits isn’t asked. If the age only comes to light at signing, the family sees “This waiver doesn’t apply to [name] (age [number])” and moves on. Pages for some ages only. Individual pages of the waiver can be shown to an age range only, under Who sees this page? Who signs. Under Who must acknowledge this waiver?, Signer identity is No extra identity acknowledgement, Parent or legal guardian, Athlete, or Athlete if old enough, otherwise parent or guardian (set Athlete signs from age; 18 by default). A signup or login waiver for The account holder is locked to Parent or legal guardian. When the athlete signs, Minimum age to sign for yourself sends younger athletes to a parent or guardian. Shared access to an athlete never lets someone sign that athlete’s waivers.
