Must know
  • There is no on/off switch. Assignment is one Rate Card dropdown, default No rate card (fixed price) — picking a named card turns pricing on. It appears in the program builder’s Billing step and in the program’s Configure panel.
  • It is hidden unless all three hold: your plan includes rate cards, Billing Schedule is Monthly recurring, and Registration Style is Enroll in entire program or Full & Drop-in.
  • Assigning a card hides the Monthly Price field and the pass/membership price-tier editor — those overrides don’t apply to rate-card tuition.
  • It also forces waitlist collection off: “Rate-card programs don’t support waitlists yet. Clear the waitlist settings before using rate-card pricing.”
  • Rate cards are available on plans that include Rate Cards — if you don’t see them under Settings → Financials, ask your Uplifter contact.

Set the billing basics

Set Registration Style (General) to Enroll in entire program or Full & Drop-in, and Billing Schedule (Billing) to Monthly recurring. The Rate Card control appears once both hold.
2

Pick the card and save

Choose a named card from the dropdown — the help text switches from “Price this program from a rate card instead of a fixed monthly price” to “Guardian is billed monthly from this rate card based on total class hours per week, while enrolled.” Save the program as usual. To go back, set the dropdown to No rate card (fixed price).
Cards you can’t pick. A card with no tiers stays visible but unselectable, labelled ”— add tiers in Settings first.” The card currently assigned is never disabled, even if its tiers were cleared later. With no cards at all, the picker is replaced by a hint — “To price this program from a rate card, create a rate card first” — linking to the settings page. What the save enforces. A rate-card program must bill monthly, use a full-enrollment style, carry no waitlist settings, and name a card that belongs to your club and has tier rows. Switching to non-monthly billing or a per-class style clears the assignment for you. Two things to expect. Rate-card assignment is left out of bulk program updates, since a bulk flip could silently reprice live tuition. And a season rollover carries the assignment forward — but if the carried card no longer validates, the renewed program is held as a draft with registration closed.
