Must know
- Signup has three steps: Account, Organization and Plan. Then Continue setup opens setup.
- Branding and your homepage are required. Brand your site and Set up your homepage must be saved, and until you finish setup, opening your dashboard brings you back to it.
- Payments don’t hold up setup. Verification usually takes 1-2 business days and never blocks finishing setup, but your site can’t go live until it’s done.
- There’s no import step. Self-serve setup doesn’t bring data in: Uplifter’s team moves data from Uplifter 1.0 or another system.
1
Sign up
Signup has three steps: Account, Organization (where you choose your web address) and Plan (see plans and the free trial). A paid plan adds a payment page. Every signup ends on Review Your Organization and the Create Organization button. Invited instead? Your invitation replaces this stage and the next.
2
See the welcome page
Welcome to Uplifter! confirms your plan: “Your 30-day free trial has started.” on a paid plan, or “Your free plan is active.” Select Continue setup.
3
Work through setup
Save your branding and your homepage; the rest is optional. See How do I finish setup and put my club site live?
4
Reach the go-live checklist
The go-live checklist shows what’s left before your site can go live, covered in the same article.
5
Start payments, then finish setup
Select Set up under Set up payments as soon as you reach the checklist. Verification usually takes 1-2 business days and doesn’t hold you up: select Go to my dashboard to finish setup meanwhile. See How do I get verified to accept payments? Moving from Uplifter 1.0, where you took cards through Adyen? Skip this: your payment account comes over with your final import.
6
Go live and get paid
Once you’re verified, select Go Live on Settings > Website > General (or Go live on the checklist, if you’re still on it). If Settings > Financials > Payment Onboarding shows Bank Account Required, add one: payouts need it. See How do I finalize payments and get paid out?
7
Keep going from Home
The Getting Started card on Home lists every setup step with a link to the settings page that owns it. It stays until every step is done and your site is live. See What’s on my dashboard Home page, and what are Action Items?
