Must know
  • You must set a web address before Go Live will work.
  • Go Live stays disabled until your club is ready to publish — payment processing verified and, for clubs still migrating data, the final import finished. The on-screen message mentions payments in both cases — see Why can’t I take my website live yet?.
  • You can Unpublish at any time to take the site back offline. Uplifter can also take a live site offline automatically if your payment verification lapses — org admins are emailed if that happens.
Your public website stays private until you publish it. Until then, nobody outside your club can reach it, even though you can keep editing it in Website Builder.
1

Finish your setup first

Set your web address and, ideally, your branding and pages. Go Live stays disabled until you’ve entered a web address. If the address you’ve entered is invalid or already taken, Go Live is still clickable, but it just prompts you to fix the address before your site can go live.
2

Click Go Live

In Settings → Website → General (the page titled Website Builder), click Go Live in the top-right corner. Your site becomes reachable at your web address right away, and the button changes to Unpublish.
3

Unpublish when you need to

Click Unpublish at any time to take the site offline again — useful if you need to pause registrations or rework your pages. Republish whenever you’re ready. Separately, if your club’s payment verification ever lapses, Uplifter takes the site offline automatically and emails your admins.
A published site is visible to the public and, if payments are set up, can take registrations and payments. Publishing also lets search engines find and index your site, so families can discover it in a web search. An unpublished site is editable by you but hidden from both visitors and search engines.
