  • Go Live and Unpublish live in the header of Settings > Website > General and need the Edit Settings permission.
  • Go Live stays disabled until you have a web address, your payments are verified and set up, and, if you’re moving from Uplifter 1.0, your final import has finished.
  • Until you publish, your address shows a “This website is not published yet” page to everyone, you included, and search engines are kept out.
  • If your payment verification lapses on a live site, Uplifter unpublishes it and emails your admins, then republishes it automatically once verification is restored, unless you unpublished it yourself.

Finish your setup first

Set your web address on Settings > Website > General. If only the address is missing, Go Live is simply greyed out. If payments or your final import are still outstanding, an amber banner reads “Payment processing must be set up before this site can go live.” with a Set up payments link, and the disabled Go Live button’s tooltip reads “Adyen verification must be completed before publishing.” Both mention payments even when the final import is what’s left. See Why can’t I take my website live yet?. If the address is invalid, already taken, or Uplifter can’t confirm it, Go Live stays clickable but tells you to fix the address first.

Click Go Live

Click Go Live. Uplifter saves any unsaved changes on the page (your address, logo, favicon, colors and directory fields) in the same click, and makes your site reachable at your address right away. The button changes to Unpublish, and Uplifter confirms with “Site is now live!” If the save fails, Uplifter shows the error and the button stays as it was.
Getting listed in the directory. Publishing also makes your club eligible for uplifter.app’s Find your club directory. The Listed in the directory switch on the General screen is on by default, but stays disabled until you go live; unpublishing removes you from the directory again. See List your club in the directory. Taking your site down. Click Unpublish at any time, useful if you need to pause registrations or rework your pages. It takes effect immediately, with no confirmation, and Uplifter confirms with “Site unpublished.” Republish with Go Live whenever you’re ready. You can also publish or unpublish your site by asking Ask Hero; it shows you a proposal to confirm first, needs the Edit Settings permission, and applies the same checks. A deactivated club’s address shows an unavailable page even if the site is published. If payment verification lapses. Uplifter also unpublishes a live site automatically if your payment verification lapses, and emails your active admins. Once verification is restored, Uplifter republishes the site by itself, as long as it was the one that took it offline; a site you unpublished yourself stays offline.
