Must know
  • Families see your display name on your website, emails and receipts; if it’s blank they see your legal name.
  • Payment verification checks your legal name, so it must match your business registration exactly.
  • Change the display name at Settings > Organization > Overview with Edit; another club can’t already be using it.
Two names, two jobs. Your legal name is your registered business name. It starts as the Organization Name you entered at signup. Your display name is the name you choose for families, such as “Your Club Gymnastics” for “Your Club Gymnastics Academy LLC”. A new club has no display name, so families see the legal name until you add one. Change your display name. You need the Admin role to save these details. Changing your display name never changes your legal name.
1

Open the edit panel

Go to Settings > Organization > Overview and select Edit at the top of the page to open Edit Organization Details.
2

Enter a display name

Type the name families should see in Display Name. Uplifter checks it as you type: a green check mark means it’s available. A name another club uses (as its display name or legal name) or one with inappropriate language shows a red message and can’t be saved.
3

Save

Select Save. To go back to your legal name, clear the field and save.
Also in the dashboard. Settings > Website > General shows your display name read-only as Public Name, with a link back to Organization settings. Why the legal name must match. During payment onboarding, the Legal Name step (“Confirm your legal business name”) submits this name to your payment provider, so it must match your official business registration exactly. If it doesn’t, correct it with Edit and Save, then tick the confirmation box. Once you’re verified, it shows read-only as Legal Name on Settings > Financials > Payment Onboarding.
