Must know
  • Starting verification needs the Create Financials permission (Admin and Accountant roles by default). Other staff can view the status but can’t start or continue.
  • You confirm your details, legal name, fees and Terms of Service in five steps, then finish on the secure page of Adyen, the payment company Uplifter uses to process card and bank payments and pay out to your bank.
  • Review usually takes 1-2 business days. If the badge reads Action Needed, use Return to Adyen to fix it; waiting won’t clear it. If Adyen rejects your details, use Update Details on Adyen.
  • Your site can be published only after verification passes and Uplifter has created your payout account. A bank account isn’t needed to publish.
Where to find it. Open Settings > Financials > Payment Onboarding (the page is headed Account Onboarding), or use the Set up payments row on the go-live checklist. That row opens a Set up payments page with the same steps.

Begin onboarding

On the Get Started with Payment Processing card, select Begin Onboarding. Once you tick any confirmation box in the steps below, it reads Continue Onboarding and reopens at your first unfinished step.

Finish each step

Next stays locked until the step is done.
  • Organization: full street, city, state or province, postal code, country and phone. You can’t change your country yourself, only Uplifter can, and once verification starts your payment account is tied to it (see What if my club and payment account countries differ?). Later address edits are sent to Adyen, and the save fails if Adyen can’t be reached.
  • Legal Name: the name sent to Adyen, which must match your business registration exactly. Select Edit to change it, then tick the confirmation. It is separate from the display name families see (learn the difference).
  • Fees: your plan’s Transaction fee (% of payout) and Per-transaction flat fee. Tick to confirm they come out of each payout.
  • Terms of Service: with Uplifter LLC in the US or Uplifter Inc. in Canada. Tick to agree.

Begin verification

On the review step, select Begin Verification to open Adyen’s page for business details, identity documents and your bank account. It is refused with a plain message if the legal name has no letters or an underscore, the street is only a number (it needs a name, like 123 Main St), state or province or country isn’t a 2-letter code, or the address or phone is incomplete.
What you’ll see next. While verification is under way, the page checks for updates on its own as long as you’re viewing it. Select Refresh to check now. Starting verification is logged as Payouts onboarding in the Activity panel on Settings > Organization > Overview. If Adyen has no bank account for you, Bank Account Required appears with Add Bank Account. On the Set up payments page. Its cards are named differently: Finish verification on Adyen (Continue to Adyen), Verification in progress (Continue setup, Check status, Return to Adyen), Action needed (Update details on Adyen), Verified - finishing setup, then Payments are ready. It updates only when you select Check status, and opens once the checklist’s required steps are done. Cancel and Checklist return you to the checklist. On the checklist. The row reads Set up, then View status, Resolve (rejected only), Finalize, then “Verified and ready”. Finalize only opens the payments page, because finishing runs on its own. Until you’re verified, the publish row shows Verify to unlock.
