Must know
- Creation opens on a Type step — pick Promo code for a code customers enter, or an automatic type (staff, member, family, sale, Buy X, get Y, and more) that applies with no code.
- For a promo code, the code is auto-uppercased as you type and must be unique within your club. A live check flags one that’s already in use before you can save.
- Save as Draft to keep editing, or publish. Publishing with a future Valid from date makes the discount Scheduled until that day. Copy from Existing prefills everything except the name and code.
1
Open the wizard
On the Discounts page, click Create discount. Creation walks three steps: Type, General, and Pricing.
2
Choose a discount type
On the Type step, pick a starting point from the gallery. Promo code is a code customers enter at checkout; the other types preset the rest of the wizard for you — an automatic sale, a staff or member price, a family/sibling or multi-class rule, a new-customer welcome, or a Buy X, get Y offer. Automatic types apply with no code, so the Code field drops off the next step. You can fine-tune every field afterward.
3
Fill in the General step
Enter a Campaign name (for your own reference) and, for a promo code, a Code. Set Valid from and, optionally, Valid to. Choose the Scope — which product types the discount applies to — and optionally narrow it to specific items.
4
Fill in the Pricing step
Click Next, then choose a percentage or fixed-dollar value and enter the amount. Optionally add usage limits, a minimum purchase amount, and a max discount cap.
5
Save it
Click Save as Draft to keep working, or Create Discount to publish. When you publish a promo code, its code is copied to your clipboard so you can share it right away.
