Must know
- Gift Cards are available on plans that include Gift Cards — if you don’t see them in your dashboard, ask your Uplifter contact.
- Gift Cards is off by default. On Settings > Organization > Features the card reads “Sell and issue gift cards redeemable at checkout — for programs, memberships, passes, and store items.” That page is read-only for your staff (“View which features are available on your current plan”), so enabling it is an Uplifter change.
- Selling online needs all of: the Gift Cards feature, the Store feature, Website > Pages > Store enabled, Website > Pages > Gift Cards enabled, and at least one card that is both Active and Available online.
- The point-of-sale register’s Gift Cards tab does not need the website page toggle.
What appears once the feature is on
Two dashboard entries show up:- Store > Gift Cards — the design catalog (“Design gift cards to sell online, at the POS, or issue to families directly”). Turning the Store section off removes this entry entirely.
- Financials > Gift Cards — every issued card. This one also requires the Financials view permission.
Publishing the page on your website
1
Enable the Gift Cards page
Go to Settings > Website > Pages. The Gift Cards row defaults to off and notes “Requires the Store page to also be enabled.” Switch it on (and make sure Store is on too), then save — you’ll see “Page visibility settings saved”. The row links to Manage Gift Cards for the catalog.
2
Publish at least one card
Open Store > Gift Cards and make sure a design is both Active and Available online. With the surface on but nothing published, visitors see “No gift cards are available right now.”
3
Check the live page
The public page sits at /gift-cards on your site and appears in the storefront Shop group in the order Store, Passes, Memberships, Gift Cards.
