  • Available on plans that include Competitions (off by default).
  • Only Live competitions are listed and take registrations. A Scheduled competition stays hidden until you set it to Live yourself.
  • A Live competition can’t go back to Draft. To take it off your site, set it to Closed or Completed in the Publishing tab of the competition’s Settings.
  • Turn on Show Competitions Page under Settings > Website > Competitions (off by default) so visitors can find the page.

Set the competition to Live

On the builder’s last step, Confirmation, find the Confirmation & Publishing card. Under Publishing Status, choose Go Live Now (Save as Draft is selected by default), then click Create Competition. For a competition you already created, open it, click Settings, open the Publishing tab, pick Live and click Save Changes.

Turn on the Competitions page

Go to Settings > Website > Competitions and switch on Show Competitions Page under Page Visibility. The Competitions card in Settings > Website > Pages has the same switch.

Set the page text and save

Under Content Settings, fill in Section Heading and Section Description (blank fields use “Competitions” and “Browse our upcoming competitions and register today.”). Click Save Changes.
Scheduled never goes live on its own. Schedule Go-Live only saves a Go-Live Date and Go-Live Time. The competition stays hidden until you set it to Live yourself. What visitors see. Every Live competition is listed by start date, past ones too, with labels such as age, spots left and Membership Required. The card button opens the competition’s page: The CTA Button Text field doesn’t change these labels. With no Live competitions, visitors see “No Competitions Available”. Changes can take a short while to show. Taking a competition off your site. Set it to Closed or Completed in the Publishing tab. It leaves the list, its page can no longer be opened, and checkout refuses it with “Competition [name] is not open for registration.” Ignore the Closed hint “competition still visible”: it is hidden. The list badge. Your admin competition list badge does not show what is public. It comes from the status and dates, so a Live competition reads Closed after its start date and Completed after its end date, yet stays listed. Custom menus. With Website Customization and your own menu saved in Settings > Website > Navigation, add Competitions to that menu too. See How do I reorder, rename or group my website’s menu tabs?. Who can do it. Website settings need Edit Settings, publish status changes need Edit Events, and creating a competition needs Create Events.
