Must know
  • Three badges, three questions. Status (their own membership), Eligibility (may they train today) and Payment (billing health, staff with View Financials only).
  • Lapsed and Overdue mean a renewal payment failed. Lapsing and Ending [date] mean the membership is set to end, not a payment problem.
  • Cancelled and Completed both mean coverage has ended. Cancelled follows an explicit cancellation or the membership itself reaching its end date. Completed follows coverage simply running out, including after the membership was deactivated.
  • Pending is Processing. The Payment filter says Pending for the badge that reads Processing.
Where to find them. Go to Athletes > Memberships and open a membership. Each row under Members shows Status, Eligibility and, with View Financials, Payment. Manage opens the member’s panel with the same badges. With View Financials it adds Billing paused when billing is paused. Without it, the payment badge reads Not shown. Status: the member’s own membership. It updates by itself. Once a member’s last covered day is over on your club’s calendar, Active or Ending [date] becomes Completed or Cancelled, unless a renewal is failing: then the row stays Active, with Payment at Overdue. An athlete taken off with Remove from membership leaves the list, and their history is kept. Eligibility: may this athlete train today. It has no money in it, so everyone who can open the member list sees it. The last three count as not eligible. A coach’s roster for a session that requires a membership shows this badge only for athletes who are not Eligible (one more reason there: required membership not held). Payment: billing health (View Financials only). Filtering. Filters offers Status (Active, Completed, Cancelled, Lapsed) and, with View Financials, Payment (Paid, Overdue, Lapsing, Pending). Members reading Ending [date] count as Active. A billing period’s own member list has no Eligibility column or Cancelled option. The badges are independent. A member cancelled at period end reads Ending [date], Eligible and Lapsing. A member whose renewal is failing reads Active, In grace (or worse) and Overdue. Not the membership’s own status. The membership itself is Draft, Scheduled, Active, Completed or Archived (see the lifecycle). The [N] overdue and [N] lapsing badges on the Memberships list count narrower sets, leaving out renewals still being retried, for example (see finding overdue or lapsing members).
