Must know
  • Hero reads the settings below but can’t change them (tax is the one exception). Each answer links the page where you change the setting.
  • Asking needs View Settings. Payment schedule and payment processing answers also need View Financials.
  • Answers come from your live settings, never a guess. If your club never chose a time zone, Hero says it’s Uplifter’s default.
How to ask. Open Ask Hero and ask in plain words. Hero quotes the current value with a link to its settings page. Open the link to change it.

What Hero can tell you

Without View Financials. Hero answers the other topics, says you don’t have access to payment schedule and payment processing, and doesn’t retry. Answers that carry context.
  • A billing day of 29, 30 or 31 bills on the last day of a shorter month, and Hero says so. With no global billing day, each recurring item bills on its own signup date.
  • With no grace period, an unpaid invoice turns Overdue the day after its due date (Hero’s own answer may say on its due date). See What do the invoice statuses mean?
  • Hero gives your public website address only once your club website is published.
  • Service fees and percentage surcharges show as percents, fixed surcharges as dollar amounts.
  • The features Hero lists as on match the Features page.
Tax is the exception. Hero reads your tax settings for rates, who pays and per-location rates, and can prepare a tax change for you to confirm (needs Edit Settings). Questions to try. “What is our billing date?” · “What is our grace period?” · “What time zone are we in?” · “What currency do we bill in?” · “Do we charge a service fee?” · “Is our payment processing verified?” · “What plan are we on?” · “Is the store turned on?” Beyond settings. To see everything else Hero can do, ask “What can you do?” Related: How do I ask Hero questions about my club’s data? · What can Hero do, and what can’t it do? · Why does Hero offer fewer capabilities to some staff members?
