Must know
  • Status applies to your club only. Set a guardian Inactive or Suspended from the status menu at the top of their profile. It stops all of your club’s emails and texts to them, receipts included, but not their billing.
  • No new invoices while they’re Inactive or Suspended. You can’t create an invoice for them until you set them Active again.
  • Removing can’t be undone. Remove guardian needs Delete Families and asks you to type their name. It’s greyed out while they have active records, such as enrollments or open invoices.
  • Removing keeps their history. Their account, paid invoices and payment history are kept. They’re unlinked from your athletes.
Which one to use. A status change keeps every record and can be switched back at any time, so use it to stop contacting a family for now. Remove guardian takes them out of your club for good.
1

Open the guardian

Go to Athletes > Guardians and open the guardian.
2

Choose a status

In the status menu beside Actions, choose Active, Inactive or Suspended. You see a confirmation such as Status set to inactive.
Who can change it. Changing the status needs Edit Families. An invited guardian shows Invited in that menu, and Actions offers Resend invite and Revoke invite instead of Remove guardian. A guardian who is also on your staff can’t be changed here: you see “This user is a staff member. Manage their status from the Staff page.” What Inactive and Suspended do. Both stop your club’s emails and texts to that guardian. Other clubs they belong to, and Uplifter’s own account emails, are unaffected. Both also disable Create invoice on their Billing tab, with “This account is inactive - reactivate it to create invoices” (or “suspended”). Setting them Active again restores both. Billing keeps running. Inactive and Suspended don’t cancel enrollments, recurring charges or payment plan installments: they keep charging the saved card, and the family gets no receipt or failed-payment email while the status is set. Cancel or pause those first (manage enrollments, pause or cancel a recurring charge). Finding inactive guardians. The Guardians list starts on Active and Invited. Open Filters and add Inactive or Suspended under Status to see them. Removing a guardian. This needs Delete Families.
1

Choose Remove guardian

Open Actions on the guardian’s profile, or the ⋯ row menu on the Guardians list, and choose Remove guardian.
2

Type their name

The Remove [name]? dialog explains that their account, paid invoices and payment history are preserved, and that this can’t be undone. Type the guardian’s name, then select Remove guardian.
3

Check the confirmation

You see [name] removed from this organization.
Why Remove guardian is greyed out. While the guardian has anything active at your club, hovering it shows Can’t remove - active records: with a count for each kind: active or paused enrollments, waitlisted enrollments, pending program applications, active memberships, active passes, open invoices (drafts count too), pending payments, active recurring charges, upcoming bookings, active registration queue spots, gift cards with remaining balance, punch cards with remaining punches, and athletes shared with another club. Finish, cancel or settle those first. Finished history (completed, cancelled, expired or paid records) never blocks removal.
