  • Available on plans that include Competitions (off by default).
  • Manage categories under Settings > Competitions > Competition Categories (the page is headed Categories).
  • The competition builder offers only your sport’s catalog of events by age category. Custom templates and presets can’t be attached to a competition.
  • Switching a preset off only changes it on the settings page for your club. It doesn’t change what a competition offers.
What competitions use. When you build a competition, its Categories step offers your sport’s events crossed with age categories, such as “100m - U12”. Choose Use All Eligible Categories, or Pick Specific Categories and use Select All, Clear All or Toggle group on an event group. To change them later, open the competition’s Settings and use the Categories tab: choose All Eligible Categories or Specific Categories, with Select All and Clear. Each category takes its result type and precision from the event, and a relay event becomes a team event of 4. What the settings page shows. The page shows:
  • A Sports row with the sports set on your club.
  • For each of your sports that has an event catalog, a read-only “[Sport] Events” table marked Sport-Specific. It shows each event’s result type and its eligible age categories.
  • Sport Presets, with an “N of M enabled” count.
  • Custom Categories.
Uplifter maintains the catalog and the presets. With no sports on your club the page says to add sports in organization settings. With sports but no presets it says to contact your administrator. Presets. Use the switch on a preset to turn it on or off for your club. A turned-off preset shows a Disabled badge. The arrow expands a preview. Presets can’t be edited or deleted. Custom templates. Select Add Category (the form is titled Add Category Template):

Name the template

Enter a Name and an optional Description.

Choose a type

Combination is a grid from two dimensions. Set the Row Axis Label and Column Axis Label, add values (each column value gets a result: Time, Distance, Height or Score), and choose Restriction Controlled By to say which axis carries the Min age and Max age (0 - 100). Under Combination Grid, uncheck combinations that should not be available.Individual is standalone entries. Each entry has a result and the Age and Capacity switches, both off at first. Capacity must be at least 1.

Leave Active on, then select Create Template.
Edit or delete. Use the … menu on a custom template card. Edit opens the same form, but the type is fixed once created. Delete asks you to confirm and can’t be undone. Who can do it. Creating needs the Create Events permission, editing or switching a preset needs Edit Events, and deleting needs Delete Events.
