Must know
  • Needs a permission and two features. You need the View Timesheets permission, and your plan must include Reports and Time Tracking.
  • Est. Gross Pay is an estimate for the dates you pick. Hours are approved, and pay is locked in, on the Time Tracking > Timesheets page.
  • No overtime or rounding. The estimate is paid hours times the hourly rate, so it can differ from the Gross Pay on a timesheet.
Where to find it. Click Reports in the sidebar, then Staff Hours: “Clocked hours and estimated gross pay per staff member over the window.” What counts. Only clocked-out time counts, so a shift in progress isn’t included yet. Each entry falls in the window it started in. Total Hours is all of it. Paid Hours leaves out any work type not marked Paid, such as Unpaid Break. How Est. Gross Pay is worked out. Paid hours are priced at an hourly rate. Hours on an approved timesheet use the rate it locked in at approval. All others use the person’s current rate from Settings > Time Tracking > Pay Rates. If someone’s hours were priced at two rates (a raise partway through, say), Hourly Rate shows a dash, but Est. Gross Pay still adds up each rate correctly. A dash in Est. Gross Pay means no paid hours or no rate set.
