Must know
  • Timing is set relative to the trigger — Before, After, or At. Choosing At drops the number-and-unit fields so the message fires at (or right after) the event itself.
  • Choosing Post Announcement skips the Recipients step; an announcement posts to the notification bell club-wide by default, rather than messaging individuals.
  • Event-related triggers only appear when the Events feature is turned on. Recipients can be Guardians, Staff & Coaches, and — when the Memberships feature is on — Membership Holders.
Go to Settings → Communication → Notifications and click Add Notification Rule. (The page you land on is headed Notifications & Reminders.) A five-step wizard walks you through it.
1

Trigger

Pick the Trigger Event — the thing that sets the rule off. Give the rule a name (one is suggested for you) and an optional description.
2

Delivery

Choose a Delivery Method — Send Email, Send SMS, or Post Announcement — and set the Timing. Enter a number and unit (for example, 3 days) and whether it fires Before, After, or At the event. Pick At and the number and unit disappear, so the message fires at (or right after) the event rather than a set interval away from it.
3

Recipients

Decide who receives it: Guardians or Staff & Coaches, plus Membership Holders when your plan includes Memberships. Membership Holders can be narrowed to specific membership groups. This step is skipped for announcements.
4

Template

Write the subject (or announcement title) and message body. Insert merge fields to personalize each message, and use Preview to see it with example data.
5

Review

Check the summary, then click Create Rule. Your new rule appears under the Organization Rules tab.
