Must know
- The statuses aren’t a locked sequence: from an Open incident you can Mark in progress, Resolve, or Archive directly. Reopen moves a resolved incident back to open, and Archive is terminal and hides the incident from the default list.
- Resolving requires resolution notes, and changing status requires the Resolve Incidents permission.
- Every status change is written to an immutable Status history (who and when). There’s no form to edit the report’s fields in this version, and email is sent only on filing — never on resolution.
1
Start investigating (optional)
On the detail page, click Mark in progress to show an open incident is being looked into. This step is optional — you can resolve or archive an open incident directly.
2
Resolve it
Click Resolve, enter the required Resolution notes, and confirm. The incident records who resolved it and when.
3
Reopen or archive
If new information surfaces, use Reopen to move a resolved incident back to open. When a report is fully closed out, Archive it (available from any active status) — you’ll confirm first, and archived incidents drop off the default list.
