Must know
  • Your payment account’s country is locked in. It’s fixed the moment you click Begin Verification and never changes on its own after that.
  • Only Uplifter support can fix a mismatch. Club admins can’t change the club’s country, so ignore the banner’s suggestion to change it back and contact support instead.
  • Payouts are blocked until the countries match. Uplifter can’t create your payout account, and the Add Bank Account button is hidden.
  • A move means verifying again. If support moves your account to a new country, you verify for that country, and payouts pause until that’s done.
When you click Begin Verification at the end of payment onboarding, Uplifter creates your payment account for your club’s country at that moment, and that country is then fixed. If your club’s country later changes, the two no longer match and Uplifter can’t finalize your payout setup. Where you’ll see it. On Settings > Financials > Payment Onboarding (page titled Account Onboarding), a red Address country mismatch banner appears once your payment account exists and its country differs from your club’s, even before verification is approved. The payments step of the setup wizard shows the same banner, and once you’re verified it shows Action needed to finish in place of the setup progress. On Payment Onboarding, once verification is approved, a second alert, Action required to finish setup, tells you Uplifter can’t create your payout account until the countries match, and the Add Bank Account button is hidden until they do. Why you can’t fix this yourself. The banner suggests changing your club’s country back, but club admins can’t: only Uplifter support can change it. Open Settings > Organization > Overview, select Edit to see Edit Organization Details: the Country field is read-only, with a note to contact support. How to fix it. Contact Uplifter support. They can move your payment account to your club’s current country, or restore your club’s country to match your verified account. If they relocate your account, you’ll verify again for the new country, and payouts pause until that’s done. A note on editing your address. Once onboarding has started, the rest of your address (street, city, state, postal code) stays required in Edit Organization Details, since your payment account is registered to it. Saved changes there sync to your payment account automatically; if that sync fails, your change isn’t saved, and the message tells you to check the address or try again later.
