Must know
  • Unlimited Inventory (or a variant option with both fields blank) is never counted down and cannot be restocked.
  • Cancels restock on their own. Cancelling a pending order item puts it back in stock automatically, and a returned item goes back only when Restock inventory is ticked. Do not also restock by hand or you will double-count.
  • Restock has a ceiling. It cannot take stock above Max Inventory or below zero. Raise Max Inventory in Edit Product first if you need more room.
  • Low Stock (N) shows when stock runs low against its max, and Uplifter sends no low-stock alerts.
Before you start. Inventory is part of Store, which needs a plan that includes it. Restocking needs the Edit Financials permission.

Setting stock

Turn tracking on. In Store > Products, choose Edit Product. For a simple product, turn off Unlimited Inventory; Max Inventory and Current Stock both start at 10. For a product with variants, each option has its own Max and Current fields. Fill in only one and Uplifter copies it into the other on save. Leave both blank to keep that option unlimited.

Restocking

Where to find it. Only products that track stock have it. Use the small refresh icon (tooltip Restock) in the Inventory column, Restock in the row’s Actions menu, or the same icon on a product card.

Open Restock

The dialog is titled Restock [product name]. A simple product shows Current stock: X / Y; a product with variants lists each option instead.

Set the new stock

For a simple product, pick a Restock Type: Add to current stock (field Quantity to Add), Set exact quantity (field New Quantity), or Restore to max (N). For variants, each tracked option shows its count with ”/ max” beside it; type the new count. Unlimited options have no field.

Save

Click Update Stock. You see Inventory updated (variants: Updated stock for N [type]s, or No stock changes to save). A change past max is refused with “Inventory cannot exceed maximum of N”.
History. No screen shows a history of restocks, sales, cancels or returns.

Reading the labels

On the product page. When every option is sold out, the product page says “This product is currently sold out in all [type]s.” The quantity picker stops at the stock left after what is in the cart.

When stock changes on its own

Sales. Stock comes off when payment is confirmed, online or at the point of sale. Checkout refuses a quantity above stock (“Insufficient stock for … Only N available.”). A point of sale QR link holds stock until it expires or the sale is cancelled. Required products. If a program or other registration requires a product, a family can still buy it when sold out: stock stays at 0 and you owe them the item. Turn on Limited supply in Edit Product to stop that registration instead. Cancels and returns. See How do I cancel or return a store item and refund the customer?.
