Must know
  • Plan feature. Custom pages need the Website Customization plan feature, which is off by default. Without it, Settings > Website > Pages has no Custom Pages section.
  • New pages start hidden. Switch a page on in the Custom Pages list when it’s ready.
  • What saves when. Once a page is visible, widget changes go live immediately. Moving or resizing tiles is kept only when you click Save layout.
  • Limits. Up to 50 custom pages with up to 60 widgets each. Deleting a page is permanent.
What a custom page is. A page you write yourself, like a handbook FAQ or a photo gallery, built from widgets on a grid.

Create the page

1

Open the Pages screen

Go to Settings > Website > Pages. Custom Pages sits below the built-in page cards.
2

Click New Page

Enter a Title (up to 120 characters). The Address, the last part of the page’s web address, fills in from the title. Edit it with lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. It can’t match a built-in page’s address.
3

Pick a Template

Choose Blank, About Us, FAQ / Policies, Photo Gallery or Landing / Promo. It’s only a starting point, and image and gallery slots start empty for your own photos.
4

Click Create Page

The builder opens for your new, hidden page.

Build it

Add widgets. Click Add Widget and choose Heading, Text, Image, Photo Gallery, Button, Video, Divider, FAQ / Accordion, Quote, Contact Info, Map or Payment Methods. Most widgets open their settings when added; click Save to apply. To edit or remove one later, hover over its tile and click the pencil or trash icon. Each of these saves right away. Arrange the grid. Drag tiles to move and resize them. The changes wait in an Unsaved layout changes bar until you click Save layout or Discard changes. Limits. A text block holds up to 20,000 characters, an FAQ up to 20 questions, a photo gallery up to 12 images and a button block up to 4 buttons. Add Widget turns off at 60 widgets. Page Settings. Click Page Settings to change the Title, Address or SEO description (up to 300 characters; left blank, your site description is used), then click Save Settings. Changing the Address breaks existing links, so settle it before sharing. Live or hidden. The header reads “This page is live: saves apply to your site immediately.” when the page is visible and your site is published, otherwise “Hidden from your site until you make it visible on the Pages screen.” View Page (visible pages only) opens it on your site; All Pages goes back.

Make it visible

Switch it on. Each custom page row on Settings > Website > Pages has its own switch, which saves at once (“Page is now visible” or “Page hidden”). A page needs at least one widget before you can switch it on. Visitors find it at your site’s address plus its Address; a hidden page shows them a not found page. Navigation. If you’ve never customized your navigation, visible custom pages join your tabs automatically, up to a few. If you have, switching a page on adds it as the last tab unless your menu already has 18 tabs. A visible page with no tab shows Not in navigation; add it with Add Page on Settings > Website > Navigation. Landing page. The Landing Page selector picks the visible page visitors land on at your site’s address. A custom page you pick is tagged Landing page. Hide it and Uplifter moves the landing page to another visible page (“Landing page moved to [page]”).

Delete a page

Delete for good. Click the trash icon on the page’s row, then Delete Page. The page and its layout are permanently removed from your site, and its tab leaves your navigation. You can’t delete your landing page, so choose another one first.
