Must know
- Status starts at Draft. Nobody sees a post until you choose Publish Now or use Publish from the row menu.
- Program posts reach only families whose athlete is actively enrolled with requirements complete. All Members posts also show in the bell on your club website, even to signed-out visitors.
- Priority is only a label. The bell always lists newest first.
- Announcements appear in the bell only. Publishing sends no email or text.

Start a post
Open Communication > Announcements, click New Announcement and enter a Title. Create Announcement stays disabled until you do.

Choose audience, priority and status
Set Audience, Priority (Low, Normal, High, Urgent) and Status (Draft, Publish Now, Archived). Defaults are All Members, Normal and Draft. Program and Event add a picker.

Write the body
Type your message in Content.

Create it
Click Create Announcement. Published posts show in readers’ bells the next time they open it.
Staff and admins do not see Program or Event posts unless they are also guardians of a matching athlete. All Program Registrants reaches anyone with an athlete in any program. An Event post with no event picked reaches families with an athlete at any event.
There is no season audience. To reach a season, send an email campaign to the Seasons audience instead.
Priority. High shows an orange label and Urgent a red one. Low and Normal look the same.
What readers see. The bell sits in the admin dashboard, coach portal, family portal and club website headers. Posts show a two-line preview that expands, and an unread dot until opened. Mark all read clears every dot at once. Readers can react with thumbs up, heart, party, rocket, eyes or confused, and click again to remove it. Signed-out visitors see counts only, with Sign in to react. You see counts in the bell, not on the list.
Manage posts. The list has Search announcements… (title, body, program or event name), a Status filter, and table or card view. Click a row to open Edit Announcement, then Update Announcement. The row menu offers:
- Edit.
- Publish, for drafts.
- Archive, for published posts. It leaves the bells and is reversible: edit it and set Status to Publish Now. It returns to its original place, not the top.
- Delete, which asks you to confirm and is permanent.
