Must know
  • Bell, not Chat. Club announcements appear in the bell at the top of the coach portal, not in Chat.
  • Your audiences. You see posts your club sends to All Members or to Staff.
  • No email. Announcements your club posts are not emailed: open the bell to read them, and use Mark all read to clear the count.
Where to find it. The bell sits in the header of every coach portal page, on a phone or a computer. A badge counts your unread posts, up to 99+. Screen readers call it View announcements, 3 unread, or View announcements when all are read.
1

Open the bell

Click the bell. The Announcements panel opens with You have 3 unread announcements or You’re all caught up! under its title. With nothing posted, it reads No announcements yet.
2

Read a post

Posts are listed newest first. Each shows its title, your club’s name, when it was posted and a short preview. High and Urgent posts carry that label. Click a post to expand it and mark it read.
3

React or mark everything read

Click one of the six emoji under a post to react, and click it again to take your reaction back. No need to expand the post first. When anything is unread, click Mark all read at the top of the panel.
Which posts you see. Posts aimed at Guardians, a Program or an Event don’t reach you as a coach. If you coach at more than one club, the bell shows the club you’re working in. Notices from Uplifter itself show Platform in place of your club’s name. One exception to “no email”: the automatic Upcoming Closure notice for a club-wide holiday is also emailed to staff. You can’t post one. The coach portal has no way to write an announcement. Club admins post them from the admin dashboard.
