Must know
  • You can take attendance without starting the class. Start class is only needed for report cards, and it unlocks once at least one athlete is Present or Late.
  • Starting keeps you on the register. Tap Write report cards to score, and End class when you are done.
  • End class asks you to confirm and names anyone present without a report card. You can reopen the class later to add them.
  • After a class ends, use Write a late report card, or Restart class (which also needs one athlete Present or Late).
Where to find it. Open the class from your Dashboard or Programs. The buttons are on the Attendance card (the register), below the athlete list on a phone.

Take attendance

Mark each athlete on the register. Until one is Present or Late, Start class is disabled and a note reads “Mark at least one athlete present to start the class.” On a class that hasn’t happened yet, a note warns that marks are stamped with the time you make them.

Tap Start class

You stay on the register, and the status turns to In session for you and any co-coaches. Keep marking attendance as athletes arrive. Tap Write report cards to score. Back to register (top) and Register (bottom) bring you back.

Tap End class

Tap End class on the register or at the bottom of scoring. End this class? names present athletes with no report card yet. Tap End class to confirm, or Keep it open to go back. Ending needs no report cards. A message reads back the register, such as “Class ended. Register: 3 present, 1 absent”, and you land on your Dashboard.

After the class

Write a late report card opens a report card for that class without reopening it. Restart class reopens it on the register and needs one athlete Present or Late. A class that had started shows In session again. One that never started shows Start class. It stays open at least another hour before closing on its own.
A second way to end. On the submit screen, End class on submit is on by default but works only when every athlete listed is ticked. It ends the class only if nobody present is left without a report card, counting other coaches’ submissions. You then see “Submitted 4 evaluations. Class ended.” Who can do this. Any coach at your club with coach portal access can start, end or restart a class, not only assigned coaches. Report cards also need Record Evaluations. Starting a class does not clock you in.
No. Attendance saves whether or not the class has started. Only report cards need a started class. If you open scoring on a class that isn’t running, you see “Returning to attendance…” and go back to the register.
Only athletes marked Present or Late with no report card yet. Tap Manage athletes to open the full roster and mark a late arrival Present or Late. Marking someone Absent or Excused drops them from scoring, but scores already recorded are kept.
