Must know
- Where it is. Families is in the coach sidebar on a tablet or computer, and under More on a phone.
- Two ways in. Search by family, guardian or athlete name, or tap an athlete’s family name on the Athletes list.
- Look, then act. From a person you can open an athlete’s profile or message a guardian in a private chat. You can’t create a family or change someone else’s.
- Finances need permission. A family’s finances show only to staff with View Financials.
1
Open Families
On a tablet or computer, select Families in the sidebar. On a phone, tap More, then Families. The page opens headed Families.
2
Find the family
Type in Search families, guardians, or athletes…, or tap Filters. On a computer the list is a table with Family, Guardians, Athletes, Requirements, Invites and Created. On a phone or tablet each family is a card. Switch with Table and Cards. Select a family to open it.
3
Or start from an athlete
On the Athletes list, or on an athlete’s profile, tap the family name under the athlete. “Family not set up” means the athlete has no family yet.
4
Read the family tree
The Family tree card counts the people and athletes. Switch between Tree (a diagram) and People (a list). On a phone it starts in People. Tap Families at the top to go back.
5
Open a person
Tap anyone to see their role, access and relationships. For an athlete you coach, tap View athlete profile. If the person has a login, a Club conversation box appears. For a guardian at your club it offers Message [name], which starts or continues a private chat in Chat. For anyone else it reads “Contact options are unavailable for this person at your active club.”
What you can’t do here. You can’t create a family or change one you aren’t part of. Families manage their own members. A family with no athlete at your club reads “This family isn’t available”.
