Must know
  • Uplifter turns it on. Payment plans appear only when Uplifter has turned on Payment Plans for your club; it is off by default.
  • Which programs. Plans are offered on Enroll in entire program programs with a One-time payment price, not Full & Drop-in.
  • Same dates for everyone. You set a deposit (can be $0), up to 60 installments, the first payment date and how often.
  • Late joiners catch up. A family joining late pays the deposit plus any installments whose dates have passed.
How it works. Families choose the plan or pay in full at checkout; installments are then charged automatically. Before you start. Check that Payment Plans shows Enabled under Settings > Organization > Features. You can view this page but not change it; if it says Not included, ask Uplifter to turn it on. The program also needs a price above $0 and an end date. On a program priced per session, the plan splits the calculated total. Where to find it. On a new program, open the Billing step. On an existing one, choose Configure from its row menu on Registrations > Programs (or Settings on the program’s page), then the Billing tab.

3

Enter # of installments, from 1 to 60.
4

Check the preview. It shows what’s due today and each installment’s date and amount. The last installment must fall on or before the program’s end date. If the terms don’t fit, you see the reason, and the program won’t save until you fix it. Deposits, discounts and fees. A discount never reduces the deposit; it comes off the installments. Any card fee is charged on top of each payment, never included in the installment amounts. A $0 deposit needs a saved payment method. When nothing is due today, the family must save a card or bank account before they can confirm. After you save. The program’s page shows a Payment plan card with the deposit and every dated installment. If the plan can’t be offered as saved, the card says why, and families pay in full at checkout until you fix it. One billing schedule per program. A program has one Billing Schedule, so it can’t sell both a monthly price and a paid-up-front price for the same spots. To let families spread a one-time price, use a plan. What turns a plan off. Changing the Registration Style away from Enroll in entire program, or the Billing Schedule away from One-time payment, clears the plan setup. An end date that falls before the last installment is refused, in bulk edits too. Cancelling an enrollment on a plan. You’re asked to choose Keep collecting (the remaining installments run on their dates) or Stop collecting (the rest is forgiven). See cancelling or refunding a plan.
