Must know
- Edit from Settings. On a plan with Competitions, use Settings on the competition or the gear icon in the list. There’s no step-by-step editor after creation.
- Pricing, events and seed marks are fixed at creation. The Pricing, Categories and Results tabs don’t save changes, and there’s no GL code field.
- Live is one-way. A Live competition can’t go back to Draft, and only a Draft can be deleted.
- Seasons are set from the season. With Seasons on, use Settings > Registration > Seasons, not this panel.
1
Open Settings
Go to Registrations > Competitions. Open a competition and click Settings, or click its gear icon (Edit competition) in the list.
2
Edit and save
Change any tabs, then click Save Changes once. You see “Competition saved” and the panel closes.
What doesn’t save. These three tabs still say “Competition saved”, but the competition keeps its original events, seed-mark settings, pricing and GL code, and every event can take results. To change them, create a new competition with Copy from Existing (on its first step) and delete the old one if it’s still a Draft.
Watch the address. Picking Enter address manually under Facility saves a blank address. The panel has no address fields.
Publishing. Options depend on the current status:
Closed and Completed both hide it from your club website, even though Closed says it stays visible. Scheduled never goes live on its own: switch it to Live yourself.
Seasons. In Settings > Registration > Seasons, open the season and click Add Competition on its Competitions tab. A competition sits in one season, so picking one from another season moves it. The X (Remove from season) on its row takes it out. When you create a competition, its Season step offers only Active seasons.
Purchase and entry conditions. Purchase conditions sit on the competition’s Overview tab. Each event’s Entry conditions are on its page, opened from the Events tab.
Delete a draft. In the list, click the trash icon (greyed out unless it’s a Draft), then Delete in “Delete competition?”. It can’t be undone. Editing needs Edit Events; deleting needs Delete Events.
