  • Program Applications must be on. Enrollment Mode only appears when Uplifter has turned on Program Applications for your club. It is off by default.
  • Two steps drop out. Choosing Application Required hides the Requirements and Waitlist steps right away, before you save.
  • Nobody is charged on request. Families send a request with a saved payment method. The card is charged only when you approve.
  • Switching back can be one-way. If Program Applications is later turned off, a program saved as Application Required keeps it, but once saved as Open Enrollment it can’t be switched back.
Before you start. Without Program Applications, you can’t save Application Required. You can view your features under Settings > Organization > Features, but only Uplifter can turn this one on.

Open the Registration step

In the program builder, go to the Registration step. Enrollment Mode sits at the top of the Registration Window card.

Choose Application Required

Open Enrollment enrolls and charges athletes as soon as they register. Application Required has athletes apply, and you approve or decline each one. The Requirements step drops out at once, and so does Waitlist if your club uses waitlists.

Finish and save

Set the rest of the registration window as usual, then click Create Program (Save Program when editing).
Other places. For an existing program, open it, click Settings and open the Registration tab. Bulk edit has Enrollment mode under General, only when Program Applications is on. Switching back. Choose Open Enrollment on the same step and the hidden steps return. If Program Applications is off, the program shows “Application Required is no longer offered”, and once saved as Open Enrollment it can’t go back. The Applications tab stays visible while requests are on record. What happens next. Families see Request to Join on your club website. Paid programs need a saved card (a $0.00 authorization), and each athlete can have one open request per program. You review requests on the program’s Applications tab, and the programs list shows an “N athletes awaiting review” banner.
  • Approve charges the saved card and enrolls the athlete. A pending request holds no spot, so capacity is checked now. If the card is declined, the family has 24 hours to pay.
  • Decline takes an optional reason the family can see, and charges nothing.
  • Families can withdraw before you decide. Decisions are final.
  • Programs priced from a rate card can’t be approved. Enroll those athletes manually.
