  • Where they live. Categories and Seasons are under Settings > Registration. Seasons only appears when Uplifter has turned the Seasons feature on for your club.
  • Draft seasons stay out of the builder. A new season starts as Draft and isn’t offered in the program builder or on a program’s Configure panel until it is Active.
  • Archive instead of delete. A season with programs, memberships, competitions or waivers linked can’t be deleted or cancelled. Archive it.
  • Closures aren’t per season. Holiday closures are set on the Holidays page by date and location.
A category is a lasting group such as “Recreational” or “Camps”. A season is a dated window such as “Spring 2027”. A program has one of each at most.

Put programs in them

In the program builder, the General step has Category and Season. Category appears once you have one and defaults to No Category. Season lists Active seasons and None. Change both later on the program’s Configure panel (General tab), or in bulk with Bulk Edit, which lists every season, drafts included. It has Overview, Programs and Memberships tabs, plus Competitions when that feature is on. On Overview, changes save as you make them:
  • Status is where you set a season to Active, or close, archive or cancel it.
  • Age cutoff date is the date athletes are aged as of, unless a program sets its own. See How do I set age restrictions on a program?.
  • Expires automatically moves an Active season to Expired each night once its end date has passed. Turn it off for year-round offerings.
  • Recurring Season and Renewal Lead Days control automatic renewal.
  • Repeats is Term, Annual, Recurring camp or None.
Renewal. When a recurring Active season is within its Renewal Lead Days of ending, next year’s season is created as a Draft, with its programs, memberships and competitions copied. See How do I roll a season over to next year?. More about categories. The All Programs card is always first, and only its image can be edited. Deleting a category asks first.
