Must know
  • Days or one date. A signature lasts a set number of days or until one shared date. Leave the value empty and signatures never expire.
  • Edits don’t force re-signing. Publishing an edit never makes anyone re-sign unless you choose Require everyone to re-sign.
  • Re-signing is all at once. Require re-sign expires every current signature together. Signed documents stay in each athlete’s history.
  • Or just one. You can expire a single signature, with an optional reason the family sees.
How long a signature counts. In Athletes > Waivers, choose Edit Waiver and, under When it’s asked, set Signature Validity Period > Expiry: An empty field (“Never expires”) means signatures never expire. Expiry doesn’t affect when the waiver is offered, and past dates can’t be picked. Changing expiry re-dates current signatures. A new number of days counts from each signature’s own date, so shortening it can expire older signatures at once. A new date applies to all of them, and an empty field means none expire. An expired signature is never revived. When a Valid until date passes. Nobody can sign until you set a new date or change Expiry, and checkout for a registration that needs it stops with: “A required waiver for athlete [name] has passed its expiry date and is closed for signatures. Please contact the club - they need to set a new waiver date before this registration can go through.” Editing a published waiver. Saving changes to its pages, signature or initials requirements, signers, age rules or PDF layout opens Review waiver changes, with added text underlined and removed text struck through. Existing signing records keep their original wording, and unfinished signings can finish the revision they started. Nobody re-signs unless you turn on Require everyone to re-sign there, which expires current coverage and keeps the waiver active. Revision history. View revision history (under Document) shows each published revision and compares any two. Viewing never changes a signature. Making everyone re-sign now. Once a waiver has current signatures, the Signature Validity Period card shows Require everyone to re-sign (also Require new signatures in the waiver’s Signatures view).

What happens. Every current signature expires at once, across all versions and including signatures awaiting payment. Wherever the waiver is required, guardians are asked to sign again. Signed documents stay in each athlete’s history, marked expired. Unfinished signings keep the revision they started. Expiring one signature. In the waiver’s Signatures view (from its row menu) or the Waivers section of an athlete profile’s Overview tab, choose Expire signature. Add a Reason (optional, visible to the family) and confirm. Only that signature stops giving coverage. Its document and history stay, and other signatures are unchanged. You need the Edit Settings permission. Archiving keeps signed records. A waiver with signatures can’t be deleted, only archived (Archive Waiver in its row menu), which keeps every signed record.
