Must know
  • Available on plans that include Competitions (off by default). Creating a competition needs the Create Events permission.
  • Pricing and the GL code can only be set while you create the competition. Check them before you click Create Competition.
  • Tiered starts with example tiers (1-3 events at 20.00each,4+at20.00 each, 4+ at 15.00 each). Registrants pay them if you leave them. A blank amount is charged as free.
  • Competition entries can’t take discount codes and can’t be refunded from the invoice refund dialog yet.
Where to find it. Go to Registrations > Competitions and click Add Competition. On Create Competition, Pricing comes after Results. It starts on Free.

Enter the amounts

  • Flat Fee and Per Event: type the amount.
  • Tiered: edit Min Events, Max Events and Price / Event on each tier. Click Add Tier for more, or the trash icon to remove one. Leave Max Events empty for unlimited.
  • Per Category: Category Prices lists each event and age group you picked on the Categories step. Type a price on each row, or use Set all to:.

Pick a GL code (optional)

GL Code lists your Revenue codes and starts on your club’s default Competition code, if you have one. With No GL code (uses default), the entry still posts to that default. Pick another only to post elsewhere.

Finish the builder

Click Next through Registration and Confirmation (it summarizes your Pricing), then Create Competition.
Blank amounts charge nothing. A blank Flat Fee, Per Event or Per Category amount is free, and so is Tiered with every tier removed. How tiered pricing works. Every event an athlete enters costs the per-event price of the one tier matching their total number of events, not band by band. With the example tiers, 2 events cost 40.00(2x40.00 (2 x 20.00) and 4 events cost 60.00(4x60.00 (4 x 15.00). If the count matches no tier, the first tier (lowest Min Events) applies. Registrants see a live total. After you create it. The Overview tab shows the fee and mode (Flat Fee reads Per Competition). For Tiered and Per Category it reads Free beside the mode, but registrants still pay the tier or category prices. The Events tab shows Price only in Per Category mode. The Settings panel can’t change prices or the GL code. To fix a mistake, create a new competition with Copy from Existing on the General step, which copies the pricing mode, fee, tiers and category prices. Tax. Entries are taxable unless you exempt Competitions in Settings > Financials > Checkout & Taxes.
