Must know
  • A banner appears saying a spot opened but your payment failed, and it shows the deadline to resolve it.
  • Add a payment method to retry the charge; on success your athlete is enrolled and the banner turns green.
  • If you miss the deadline, you lose the held spot. Whether it then passes automatically to the next family depends on your club’s waitlist settings — otherwise your club fills it manually.
When a waitlist spot opens but your saved card can’t be charged, Uplifter holds the spot for 24 hours and shows an amber banner across your parent portal: “A spot opened up in [program]! Your payment failed. Add a payment method to secure your spot — you have until [date and time].”
1

Open the banner

Select Add Payment Method in the banner. For a one-time or per-session program the dialog shows the program’s price — the final charge can differ once tax, processing fees, or a pass or membership discount you hold is applied. For a recurring program it shows a general message to secure your spot without a specific figure.
2

Add a working card

Enter a valid card and confirm. Adding it immediately retries the charge — you’ll briefly see “Securing your spot in [program]…” while it processes.
3

Confirm it worked

On success the banner turns green: “Payment successful! You’re enrolled in [program].” Choose Refresh to update the page. If the charge fails again, the banner shows an error with a Try Again button so you can use a different card.
Act before the deadline shown in the banner. Once it passes, you lose the held spot — depending on your club’s waitlist settings it may be offered to the next family automatically, or your club may fill it manually — and you’d need to re-join the waitlist if you still want it.
