Must know
  • Your club sets the fee. It can differ by payment method, and each option shows its fee or No fee before you pay.
  • One Fees row. All fees show in one Fees row. Select its info icon for the breakdown.
  • No processing fee. Uplifter never adds a payment processing fee to what you pay.
  • Sometimes no service fee. Paying fully with gift cards or account credit, or paying your club directly, adds no service fee.
Why it changes. Your club decides whether to charge a service fee (a percentage of your order after discounts) and can set one rate for card payments and another for bank.
1

Read the fee notice

Above the payment options, a line such as “[Club name] charges a service fee of 3% on card payments and 1% on ACH payments.” names only the methods that carry a fee. Canadian clubs say EFT instead of ACH.
2

Pick how you pay

Card / Apple Pay / Google Pay and Bank transfer (ACH in the US, EFT in Canada) each show “+3% service fee” or “No fee”. The fee is added once you pick, and Change payment method lets you compare. If your club accepts only one method, its fee applies on its own.
3

Check the Fees row

In Order Summary at checkout or Review charges on an invoice, select the info icon on Fees. It lists “Service fee (3%)”, each surcharge by name (with its rate, if a percentage) and Total fees. No Fees row means no fee applies.
Surcharges. Your club can also add named surcharges, each for card payments, bank payments or both, and for one-time purchases, automatic renewals or both. Invoices your club creates. These are priced when you pay. The invoice email says “The fee is added at checkout based on the payment method you choose, so your final total may be higher than the amount above.” Invoices from a paid checkout, automatic payments and the point of sale already include their fees. Automatic payments. Each renewal adds the service fee for the card or bank account charged, plus any renewal surcharges. When no service fee applies.
  • Gift cards or account credit cover the whole order. If they cover only part, the fee is worked out on the whole amount. A surcharge on every payment method can still apply.
  • You pick Cash or, at Canadian clubs, Interac E-transfer and pay your club directly, with no surcharge either. Paying that invoice online later adds the fee for the method you pick (details).
Receipts and refunds. Your receipt lists the service fee with its rate and each surcharge on its own row, adding up to the total. A refund returns fees in the same share as the items refunded.
