Must know
  • You may receive class and event reminders, missed-attendance alerts, evaluation-completed and skill-achieved notices, and holiday-closure emails. Missed-attendance alerts and a “program starts soon” reminder always send — every club sends those automatically and can’t switch them off — while per-class and event reminders, evaluation-completed, and skill-achieved notices arrive only when your club turns that type on.
  • These emails are transactional — like receipts and refunds, they aren’t affected by any email opt-out, and there’s no family-portal setting to switch club emails off. (The unsubscribe link on a club’s marketing emails only affects those.) Texts send only once you’ve given SMS consent.
  • Each guardian gets their own single copy of a notification, so two guardians of the same athlete don’t create duplicates. If you follow more than one athlete, a day-before class reminder now bundles all of that day’s classes into one email instead of sending a separate one per child.
Uplifter sends automatic messages on your club’s behalf. Missed-attendance alerts and program-start reminders always go out; the others arrive only if your club has switched that type on:
  • Program-start reminders the day before a program begins — always sent — plus per-class and event reminders before a session
  • Missed-attendance alerts when your athlete misses a class — always sent
  • Evaluation-completed notices when a coach finishes an evaluation
  • Skill-achieved notices when your athlete masters a skill
  • Holiday-closure emails when the club closes for a holiday or break
Two things decide whether a message reaches you. First, your club chooses which notification types are active, so a club that hasn’t turned on per-class or event reminders simply won’t send them — though missed-attendance alerts and the program-start reminder always send automatically and can’t be switched off. Second, how you’re reached: the emails in this list are transactional, so they always go out — there’s no opt-out for them in the family portal, and the unsubscribe link on a club’s marketing emails only affects those marketing sends. Texts go out only if you’ve turned on SMS. Receipts and refunds work the same way — always sent so you have a record. If you and another guardian both follow the same athlete, you’ll each get your own copy — the same message is never sent to you twice. And when you follow more than one athlete, a day-before class reminder groups that day’s classes into one email.
