Must know
  • When you pay. Your club may charge the program fee, a required membership, or both as soon as you join, or (the default) only when your athlete is moved into the program. The review step shows what is due today.
  • Saved payment method. You need one whenever joining could lead to a charge. Your default saved card, wallet or bank account is the one charged.
  • Who can join. Age, gender, level, achievement and registration dates always apply. Your club may also require its membership or pass before you can join.
  • Leaving and refunds. You can’t leave a waitlist yourself: ask your club to take you off (see cancelling or leaving a waitlist). Money paid when you join is not refunded automatically.

Open the program

On your club website, a full program with waitlist room shows a Waitlist Available badge and a Join Waitlist button. The button opens the program page, which shows Waitlist Only. Select Join Waitlist there to start. If you are signed out, choose Sign In or Create Account first.

Work through the steps

An amber banner says This program is currently full, with a line on whether you are charged now or when a spot opens. The Pass and Also Required steps are skipped. The Membership step appears only at clubs that collect the membership when you join. Waivers and information steps still apply.

Review what you owe

Review & Join Waitlist lists what is due today, any Tax and Service fee, and a Due today total. A When a spot opens section lists anything charged later. Join Waitlist stays disabled while it reads Working out what you owe today…. If pricing fails, select Try again.

Check your payment method

Below the totals, when one is needed, Payment method on file shows your default with a Change link. With none saved, select Add Payment Method. Join Waitlist stays disabled until you have one.

Join

Select Join Waitlist. The screen changes to You’re on the waitlist!.
Why was I charged when I joined? Your club charges when you join the waitlist, not when a spot opens. The review step showed the amount as Due today before you confirmed. If the charge is declined, your athlete is not added. For programs you register for By Class, the program fee is never collected at join. If you cannot join. A reason appears in an amber box above a disabled Join Waitlist. Only a required membership can be bought during the join, so complete any other purchase first. After you select the button, you may see:
  • Athlete is already enrolled or waitlisted for this program
  • A spot just opened up - please register normally
  • Waitlist is full
  • Another waitlist join for this athlete is already in progress. Please wait a moment and try again.
Rejoining. If your club takes your athlete off the waitlist and you join again, your athlete goes to the back of the line. A membership bought at join stays with the athlete. What happens next. The success screen says you will get an email when a spot opens. A join confirmation email is not guaranteed. To check their place in line, see Where can I see my athlete’s place on a waitlist?. A spot filled during checkout? The That spot just filled up message says you were not enrolled or charged. Select Join waitlist to open the program page.
