Must know
- You need your child’s first name, last name, date of birth and gender, plus how they’re related to you (Child by default). You don’t pick a club.
- Your child joins your family, and every guardian in that family can see the child’s details, including medical information.
- Added in the family portal, a child has no club until you register them. Added on a club’s website, they’re linked to that club right away, and the club lists you as their guardian.
- You can’t add a second athlete with the same name and date of birth as one you can already see.
1
Open the form
In the family portal, choose Athletes (a bottom tab on a phone), then Add Athlete. It also opens from Add athlete on the Family page, Add a child on a person’s panel in the family tree, and + Add Athlete on the phone Dashboard. On your club website, at checkout, use Who is this registration for? > Add Athlete.
2
Enter the details
Fill in First Name, Last Name (up to 100 characters each), Date of Birth and Gender Declaration (Male, Female, Other or Prefer Not to Say). Leave This athlete is me off. It disappears once you have your own athlete profile.
3
Set the family
If you belong to more than one family, choose the Family. Pick Relationship to you: Child, Parent, Mother, Father, Guardian, Partner, Friend or Other (Other asks for a Relationship description, up to 100 characters). Change person relates the child to someone else in the family. The form reminds you: “Family guardians share athlete details, including medical information. Relationships don’t change access.”
4
Save
Choose Add Athlete. It stays disabled until the family details are complete. You see “[name] added successfully” and the child appears in your list. At checkout, if the child is outside the program’s age range, the child is still added, but you see a “does not meet the age requirement” message and return to the list.
