Must know
  • If your child was already set up at the club by another family member, don’t make a second copy — you get added to the existing athlete as a co-guardian.
  • The reliable way to be added is for that athlete’s primary guardian to invite you as a co-guardian from their parent portal — only the primary guardian has the invite option.
  • If you try to register the child yourself and the details match someone already at that club, registration won’t let you create a duplicate — reach out to the existing guardian (or the club) to be added.
When a child is first set up by one parent, a second parent or caregiver doesn’t start over with a new record — you join the athlete that already exists so you can both manage them.
1

Ask the primary guardian to invite you

The simplest path is to have the child’s primary guardian open the athlete in their parent portal, go to the Guardians section, and choose Invite a guardian with your email address. See the related article on inviting a co-guardian for their side of it.
2

Accept the invitation

If you’re new to Uplifter, you set a password and enter a phone number when you open the emailed invitation; if you already have an account, you’re added as a co-guardian right away and the email is just a heads-up.

If you try to register the child yourself

On a club’s website you can start a registration and add an athlete, but if the name and date of birth match a child already at that club, it stops you from creating a duplicate. Don’t add a second copy — contact the athlete’s primary guardian or the club so they can add you to the real one.
Once you’re added, the athlete appears in your parent portal and you can manage them like any other, subject to the sharing settings the primary guardian has chosen.
