Must know
  • The text-message opt-in is unchecked by default — you have to explicitly opt in, and texts only start once your phone number is verified. You can tick the consent box while adding your number (it applies once the code is confirmed) or turn it on afterward in the SMS Notifications section.
  • Texting STOP to a club message opts you out immediately. To turn texts back on afterward, Account Settings will still show the box ticked — untick it and Save Changes, then tick it and save again.
  • Your SMS preference is stored on your account and applies across every club you belong to.
Text messages are off until you turn them on. You can opt in while adding your number — a consent checkbox sits just below the phone field — or turn it on later in the SMS Notifications section, which appears in the Phone Number part of Account Settings once your number is verified.
1

Opt in while adding your number

As you add or verify your number in Account Settings, a consent checkbox appears just below the phone field. Tick it there and it’s switched on automatically once your code is confirmed — you don’t have to wait.
2

Or turn texts on after verifying

Once your number is verified, the SMS Notifications section appears. Tick the consent checkbox, then choose Save Changes. The section then shows the date your SMS messaging was enabled.
3

Turn texts off

To stop texts, clear the same checkbox and choose Save Changes — or simply reply STOP to any club text, which opts you out right away.
Because the preference lives on your account rather than a single club, turning it on or off applies everywhere you use Uplifter. This setting only controls texts — separate emails and in-app messages are covered in the notifications article.
