Must know
  • Same email, new password. Families keep the same email address. Anyone with an active Uplifter 1.0 login just sets a new password, because passwords can’t be carried over.
  • No login means Invited. Families with no Uplifter 1.0 login come over as Invited, and the move doesn’t email them. Use Resend invite link on the Guardians list, or have them choose Forgot your password? on the sign-in page.
  • Suspended accounts are left out. A family whose Uplifter 1.0 account was suspended isn’t set up as a family, and none of its adults come over as guardians. An adult whose own login was suspended is left out too, while the other adults on the account still come over.
  • Unconfirmed marketing sign-ups start unsubscribed. Guardians who never confirmed your Uplifter 1.0 marketing list start unsubscribed from marketing email.
How families arrive. Each Uplifter 1.0 account becomes one family with the same owner and members. For their side of it, send families to their sign-in guide, which tells a family that never had a login to create a password with Forgot your password?.
1

Check the family's status

Go to Athletes > Guardians and check the Status column or filter. Families who had an Uplifter 1.0 login show as Active; those without one show as Invited.
2

Active: they set a new password

On the sign-in page, Email Code emails them a sign-in code, and Forgot your password? lets them set a new password. You can also choose Send password reset from their row menu.
3

Invited: send the invitation

Choose Resend invite link from the family’s row menu. The link lasts 7 days. Or have the family choose Forgot your password? with their email. Signing in any way, or resetting the password, makes the account Active.
4

Not on the list: check for a suspension

Families whose Uplifter 1.0 account was suspended or inactive don’t come over as guardians. Their athletes still come over, with no guardian linked. To bring one back, add them as a guardian.
If Email Code doesn’t work. For an invited family, Email Code resends an invitation only after one has been sent. Before that, it emails a Sign-in Attempted notice saying no account was found, so send the invite first. Relationships and shared children. The move carries each account’s owner and members, not labels like Mother or Father: family managers add those from their Family page. A child shared by two households never merges them into one family. Combined athletes. Participant records with the same name and birthday become one athlete. If two different children were combined, add the second one by hand. Marketing email. On top of the carried-over opt-ins, invited families who never activate get no marketing email. Emails about their athlete still go. Later imports. Until someone edits an imported family here, a later import keeps its members in step with Uplifter 1.0. After an edit, the new Uplifter’s version wins. What families see. After you go live:
  • Balances they owe appear as invoices (not emailed when created), and their settled Uplifter 1.0 invoice history isn’t shown in the family portal. See What happens to balances, invoices, credits and gift cards when we move?
  • Monthly program registrations keep billing automatically on your Monthly billing day, so tell families before your first billing day (payments and billing after the move).
  • Saved cards come over only if your Uplifter 1.0 site already took card payments through Uplifter’s payment provider. One-off cards and cards the payment provider no longer holds don’t, so some families add a card again.
Hold your announcement. Campaigns, automatic emails and texts don’t go out during a preview import, but invitations you send yourself (Resend invite link, Send Invite) and sign-in and password emails do. Wait until you go live before you invite families or announce the move. Related: My club moved to the new Uplifter.
