# What if I get stuck while setting up my club?

> Find the message or screen you're stuck on between signup and a live site, why it happens, and what to do next.

  **Must know**

  * **Finish from the checklist.** Until you select **Go to my dashboard** on the go-live checklist, the dashboard sends you back to setup.
  * **Continue saves a step.** **Brand your site** and **Set up your homepage** count as done only after you select **Continue**.
  * **The payout account is automatic.** Once verification passes, Uplifter creates it. There's nothing to press.
  * **No way back into setup.** Once you finish, carry on from the **Getting Started** card on Home.

**Find what you see.** For the whole path, see [Setting up your club on Uplifter](/self-onboarding). Adyen, named below, is the payment company Uplifter uses to process card and bank payments and pay out to your bank.

**Reaching Uplifter.** The dashboard sidebar, with its **Support** link, isn't shown until you finish setup. Until then, use the **contact support** link on the **Welcome to Uplifter!** page or email [support@uplifterinc.com](mailto:support@uplifterinc.com). | What you see | Why | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| The dashboard keeps sending you back to setup, or "Finish the required steps before completing setup." | Setup isn't finished. A required step counts only once you select **Continue**, even if your logo or headline is there. | Select **Continue** on both required steps (the step rail takes you back), then **Go to my dashboard** or a task under **More ways to get set up**. |
| **Continue** is greyed out on **Brand your site**: "Fix the color marked above before you continue." | A color box isn't a valid color. | Correct it, or pick a swatch under **Detected from your logo** or **Brand color presets**. |
| "Could not finish setup.", "Could not save your changes." or "Could not update your progress." | The save didn't go through. | Try again. If it keeps happening, [contact Uplifter support](/club/get-set-up/contact-uplifter-support). |
| "Your account switched organizations - reloading…", or the header beside **Set up your account** names the wrong club | Setup saves into the club in the header, which right after signup is the club you just created. The reload means you switched clubs in another tab. | Check the name before you carry on. See [switching clubs](/club/get-set-up/switch-between-clubs). |
| **Publish your site** reads "Your site goes public once your business is verified for payments, which is the step above." | Verification hasn't passed, or your payout account isn't ready. | **Verify to unlock** opens the payments screen. See [getting verified](/club/get-set-up/get-verified-to-accept-payments). |
| **Set up payments** reads "Verification in progress (1-2 business days)" | Adyen is reviewing, or waiting for you to finish its page. | Carry on with setup. If the **View status** screen offers **Continue to Adyen** or lists errors to resolve, finish on Adyen. **Check status** refreshes it. |
| **Set up payments** reads "Action needed to verify your account" | Adyen needs more information. | Select **Resolve**, then **Update details on Adyen**. Waiting won't clear it. |
| "Verified - finalize to finish setup", or "Verified - finishing setup" on the payments screen | Uplifter is creating your payout account. | Nothing: **Finalize** only opens the payments screen. Only an [Address country mismatch](/club/get-set-up/country-payment-account-mismatch) message needs you. |
| Your web address shows "This website is not published yet." | Your site isn't published. | Select **Go live** on the checklist, or **Go Live** in **Settings > Website > General**. See [publishing](/club/website-store/publish-your-website) and [why you can't go live](/club/website-store/why-cant-i-take-my-site-live). |
| You finished setup early and can't find the checklist | The dashboard has no link back into setup. | Use the **Getting Started** card on Home: **Payments** opens **Settings > Financials > Payment Onboarding**, and **Details** opens **Settings > Organization > Overview**. Publish from **Settings > Website > General**. |
| An invitation link says "This invitation has expired." or "A newer invitation was sent to this address." | Invitation links last 7 days, and a new one replaces the old. | Open the newest email, or ask [Uplifter support](/club/get-set-up/contact-uplifter-support) for a new link. See [getting in](/club/get-set-up/accept-your-club-invitation) and [sign-in problems](/club/get-set-up/cant-sign-in-to-dashboard). |
| Moving from Uplifter 1.0: **Go live** shows "Finish your final import before publishing." | Your club is still in its preview import. | Agree with Uplifter when to run your final import. See [moving from Uplifter 1.0](/migrating-from-1-0/how-moving-from-uplifter-1-works). |
