# What happens to our web address and our Uplifter 1.0 site?

> How your web address, logo, colors and hidden items come over from Uplifter 1.0, when your new site can go live, and when Uplifter retires the old site.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * **Your web address stays as it is unless you choose your Uplifter 1.0 address.** Choosing it moves your new site to that address the moment the import starts, and the address your new site had until then stops working, with no redirect.
  * **Your new site can't be published until the final import is done** and your payments are verified and finalized.
  * **Once you publish, your club's card in the Find your club directory points to the new site.**
  * **Uplifter retires your Uplifter 1.0 site after the final import, once you confirm the new site.**
</Note>

**Which web address you get.** This comes up only when the two addresses differ, and you decide it with Uplifter before the import. Your new address is kept unless you choose the Uplifter 1.0 one, which may be unavailable. Choosing it moves your public site as soon as the import starts, and the previous address stops working, with no redirect. You can still [change your address later](/club/website-store/set-your-website-address-subdomain).

**Logo and colors.** Your logo comes from your Uplifter 1.0 header, with brand colors picked from it (or from your Uplifter 1.0 theme), and your favicon comes too. Nothing you already set is replaced.

**Hidden items.** Programs, store products and membership plans that Uplifter 1.0 kept off its listing pages come over hidden. Items it only kept out of its site search stay visible, because the new Uplifter has no separate site search.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check your logo and colors">
    Open the **Branding** card on **Settings > Website > General**. If anything is missing, [add it](/club/website-store/set-brand-colors-logo-favicon).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Turn hidden items back on">
    Show the ones that should be public under **Registrations > Programs**, **Store > Products** or **Athletes > Memberships**. For a program, turn on **Visible to Families**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Go live after the final import">
    During a preview, **Go Live** stays greyed out. Its tooltip mentions payments, but the preview is the reason (see [preview import](/migrating-from-1-0/preview-import-and-going-live)); Ask Hero and the go-live checklist say "Finish your final import before publishing." After the final import, you still need verified, finalized payments before you click **Go Live** on **Settings > Website > General**. See [Why can't I take my website live yet?](/club/website-store/why-cant-i-take-my-site-live)
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm your new site with Uplifter">
    Tell Uplifter your new site looks right, so your Uplifter 1.0 site can be retired. To reach Uplifter's team, see [How do I contact Uplifter support?](/club/get-set-up/contact-uplifter-support)
  </Step>
</Steps>

**The Find your club directory.** Your club's card points to your Uplifter 1.0 site until you publish, then to your new site, as long as **Listed in the directory** is on (the default).

**Your Uplifter 1.0 site.** It keeps running while you prepare. Uplifter's team retires it after a completed final import, once you confirm your new site. A preview never starts this.

**Changes after the backup date.** Each import reads the most recent backup of your Uplifter 1.0 site, so anything added or changed after it isn't on the new site until the import runs again. A re-run adds what's new but doesn't update most records already brought over, so make fixes in the new Uplifter.
