# What doesn't come over from Uplifter 1.0, and what do we rebuild?

> The Uplifter 1.0 data that isn't carried into the new Uplifter or waits for your decision, and what your club does about each.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * **Auto-renewing membership plans don't come over.** If a signup is still due to renew, re-create its plan before the next renewal date. Monthly program registrations do come over and keep billing.
  * **Passwords can't be carried between systems**, so everyone with an Uplifter 1.0 login sets a new one.
  * **Athlete goals, personal coach assignments and order notes aren't imported.**
  * **Coupons and installment membership plans the new Uplifter can't represent wait for your decision** instead of importing silently.
</Note>

**How it works.** Uplifter's team moves your club from a backup of Uplifter 1.0 and goes through a report of your data with you first. A gap is listed only when your club has data for it. Changes made in Uplifter 1.0 after the backup date aren't included until the import runs again.

**Not carried over.**

| What | What happens | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| Auto-renewing membership plans | Not imported, and billing doesn't resume on its own. One-time plans, their members and saved cards do come over. Monthly program registrations are different: they come over and keep billing (see [payments and billing after the move](/migrating-from-1-0/payments-and-billing-after-the-move)). | Re-create each plan still due to renew before its renewal date. If every signup has lapsed, do nothing. |
| Passwords | Can't be carried. Accounts with an active Uplifter 1.0 login still come over; only the password is new. | Each person sets a new one: [staff](/club/get-set-up/reset-dashboard-password), [families](/families/families-getting-started/reset-a-forgotten-password). |
| Athlete goals and their progress history | Not imported. | Note down any you still need. |
| Personal (per-athlete) coach assignments | Not imported. Per-program squads come over as teams. | Check the [teams](/club/programs-classes/split-a-program-into-teams). Note personal coaches in the athlete's staff note if needed. |
| Order notes | Not imported. Notes on guardians and athletes do come over, as staff-only notes. | Copy any you need into a staff note. |
| Individual payment records | Stay in your old accounting records. Invoices come over with their line items, taxes and a payment summary. Event tickets come over without payment history. | Use your old records for the details. |
| Store item variants, images and sales history | Not imported. Name, SKU, price and stock do come over. | Add [variants](/club/website-store/add-product-variants) and images in **Store > Products**. |
| One-off cards that were never saved, and saved cards the payment provider no longer holds | Not carried. | Those families add a card again. |
| Volunteer hours and volunteer requirements | Not carried over. | Keep your own record of what each family owes or has worked. |
| Checkouts a family started but never finished | Not imported. A registration Uplifter 1.0 had recorded, even one still finishing checkout when the backup was taken, does come over. | If a family says their athlete is missing, [enroll the athlete](/club/athletes-families/how-do-i-enroll-an-athlete-in-a-program). |

**Carried in part, or waiting for your decision.**

| What | What happens | What to do |
| - | - | - |
| Coupons the new Uplifter can't represent | Import as nothing. The others arrive as [draft discounts](/club/discounts/review-imported-discounts). | Decide whether you need each one, then [build it](/club/discounts/create-a-discount-code) in **Settings > Financials > Discounts**. |
| Membership plans paid in installments that can't carry | Come over as a one-time membership at the full total, not available for purchase online, so families can't buy the whole amount by mistake. | Set the price in **Athletes > Memberships**, then turn on **Available for purchase online** and click **Save Changes**. |
| Medical questions that collect a file or image | Import as nothing. | Decide how you'll collect those documents. |
| Emergency contacts beyond what an athlete record holds | Dropped. | Keep any you need in the athlete's [staff note](/club/athletes-families/how-do-i-add-a-staff-note-to-an-athlete). |
| Age rules that can't be one range | No age limit, or only the part that held on every registration, which may admit someone Uplifter 1.0 turned away. | Set limits in **Registrations > Programs**. |
| Items kept out of Uplifter 1.0's site search | Stay visible on your club website: the new Uplifter has no separate site search. | Check whether each should still be listed, in **Registrations > Programs** and **Store > Products**. |

**What to do, in order.**

<Steps>
  <Step title="Decide before the import">
    Settle coupons, installment membership plans, medical questions that collect a file, and extra emergency contacts, and agree when to stop making changes in Uplifter 1.0: see [getting ready for the move](/migrating-from-1-0/get-ready-for-the-move).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Re-create auto-renewing membership plans">
    Before each renewal date, [create the membership](/club/memberships/how-do-i-create-a-membership) with **Create Membership** in **Athletes > Memberships**, setting its **Billing Interval** to **Monthly** or **Yearly** to match the old plan. Then [add each athlete](/club/memberships/how-do-i-manually-add-a-member) who was due to renew.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Rebuild the rest">
    Work through the tables, then the [after-the-move checklist](/migrating-from-1-0/after-the-move-checklist).
