# What should we review after our data comes over?

> The checks to work through in your admin dashboard once Uplifter has imported your club from Uplifter 1.0, from staff roles to publishing your site.

  **Must know**

  * **Assign roles to imported staff first.** They arrive with no permissions.
  * **Activate your draft discounts, and check surcharges and tax, before families are charged.** Surcharges and tax are under **Settings > Financials > Checkout & Taxes**.
  * **Re-create any auto-renewing membership plan still due to renew, and schedule your next term.** Nothing is added after your last Uplifter 1.0 session.
  * **Your dashboard keeps opening in setup until you finish it.** Publishing needs your final import plus verified and finalized payments.

**People first.**

| Check | Where | Why |
| - | - | - |
| Assign staff roles | **My Organization > Staff**, row menu **Edit Permissions** | Staff with an email came over with no permissions. |
| Invite staff and coaches who can't sign in | **My Organization > Staff**, row menu **Send Invite** | A seat with no Uplifter 1.0 login came over pending. A coach with no email shows **Imported - no email yet**: add their email under **Edit Details** first, so they keep their programs. |
| Invite families with no Uplifter 1.0 login | **Athletes > Guardians**, row menu **Resend invite link** | They came over **Invited**. Send these after your final import: invitations go out even during a preview. **Email Code** at sign-in only resends an invitation that has already gone out. |
| Check combined athletes | **Athletes > Directory** | Records with the same name and birthday became one athlete, linked to every guardian on those records. For two children, add the second by hand. |

**Then money settings.**

| Check | Where | Why |
| - | - | - |
| Activate discounts | **Settings > Financials > Discounts** | Imported discounts are **Draft**: none applies until you activate it. Read the review notes, then **Mark as reviewed**. |
| Check surcharges | **Settings > Financials > Checkout & Taxes**, **Surcharges** card | A card fee from Uplifter 1.0 comes over **Inactive**. Once active, it applies to the whole card order and renewals. A service fee comes over **Active** and charges every order. |
| Check tax | Same page | Your tax lines come from Uplifter 1.0. Where a tax applied item by item, items it never taxed are marked tax exempt. A tax that applied to only some kinds of items may not have come over, so check those items are taxed. |
| Check monthly registrations | **Financials > Recurring Billing** | Monthly program registrations came over as recurring charges and bill automatically on your **Monthly billing day**. Check them, and tell families, before your first billing day. |
| Turn on gift cards if you imported certificates | **Settings > Organization > Features** | **Imported store credit** can't be spent until **Gift Cards** is on. If it shows **Not included**, [contact Uplifter support](/club/get-set-up/contact-uplifter-support). |
| Fix billing plans | **Athletes > Memberships** | Re-create each auto-renewing membership plan still due to renew before its renewal date. A payment plan whose schedule couldn't carry came over unpublished as one full charge: price it, then publish it. |
| Attach rate cards (if Rate Cards is on) | **Registrations > Programs** | Imported rate cards aren't attached yet. Attach one once weekly hours are set; nothing bills differently until then. |

**Then programs and your site.**

| Check | Where | Why |
| - | - | - |
| Review program rules | **Registrations > Programs** | Age limits that couldn't carry over exactly (some have none now), programs that now require a level or badge, and per-class programs held in draft because their classes or price didn't come over. |
| Turn hidden items back on | **Registrations > Programs**, **Store > Products**, **Athletes > Memberships** | Items Uplifter 1.0 kept off its listing pages came over hidden. |
| Hide plans added at registration | **Athletes > Memberships** | A plan Uplifter 1.0 added at registration is now for sale. Hide it if no program needs it. |
| Check rosters | **Registrations > Programs** | A checkout a family never finished in Uplifter 1.0 doesn't come over. Check any family who says they're missing. |
| Check your time zone | **Settings > Organization > Overview** | Class times match Uplifter 1.0. Reminders and today's schedule read them in your club's zone. |
| Check waivers | **Athletes > Waivers** | Your waivers and signatures came over. Make sure each waiver you still need is there. |
| Add your logo and colors | **Settings > Website > General**, **Branding** card | If they didn't come over. |
| Schedule your next term | **Registrations > Programs** | Nothing is added after your last Uplifter 1.0 session. |

**Finish setup and publish.** Until setup is finished, signing in opens the setup steps. **Brand your site** shows your imported logo and colors, but it and **Set up your homepage** still need **Continue**. **Your gym's details** is skipped when street, city and phone are on file. Optional tasks such as **Invite your team**, **Create a program**, **Create a season**, **Set up training levels** and **Set up waivers** tick off once records exist.
