# How is my monthly tuition calculated, and what is the Upcoming Payments section?

> Read the Upcoming Payments row on your billing page: weekly training, next charge date, and the monthly amount.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * **Upcoming Payments** sits on your billing page and shows what's coming up — one row per athlete per club, with a **View payment history** button for past orders.
  * Each row reads *"\[Athlete] · \[Club]"* above *"\[weekly training]/week · Next charge \[date] · billed in advance"*, with the monthly amount on the right.
  * That amount is **one** monthly tuition per athlete, worked out from the athlete's **total** weekly class time across all their active hourly-priced classes — not a sum of per-class prices.
  * The figure is always **live**: recalculated from your current classes and the club's current prices, never a stored number that could be out of date.
  * Hourly tuition is only offered by clubs on a plan that includes **Rate Cards** — if your club doesn't price this way, you won't see this section.
</Note>

**The maths behind the row.** Under each row, your athlete's classes are listed with each one's weekly time — for example *"Level 4 Girls (3h), Tumbling (1h 30m)"*. Add those up, and the total is what places your athlete in one of the club's tuition tiers. Four and a half hours a week gives one monthly amount, no matter how many classes make it up.

**If there's more than one rate card.** Some clubs run separate tuition ladders. When your athlete's classes sit on more than one, each card gets its own line naming the card, its monthly amount, and its classes. The figure on the right stays the blended total.

**"New tier takes effect".** A line like *"New tier \$340.00 takes effect Mar 1, 2027"* appears when something has already changed — a class added or dropped, a schedule change, or a club price update — so next cycle's amount differs from the amount currently on file. The new amount starts on that date. Nothing is charged early.

**Next charge and "billed in advance".** The date shown is your club's monthly billing day, and hourly tuition is collected before the month it covers.

**It's a forecast, not a bill.** Upcoming Payments tells you what's coming; it doesn't create a charge. Actual charges and receipts live in your payment history.

**When the section is empty.** It only appears when there's something upcoming — an athlete with at least one active enrollment in an active hourly-priced class.
