# How do several coaches run the same class together?

> Attendance, scores, session state, and coach presence sync live across every coach on the class.

  * Attendance marks, scores, session state, and who's viewing all sync across devices almost instantly.
  * If another coach starts the class, your screen moves to the evaluation view on its own.
  * If your connection briefly drops, the live feed reconnects on its own. An attendance mark you tap while offline won't stick, so retry it — but a score you enter is always kept and saved when you submit the class.

When more than one coach opens the same class, you're all working off one shared, live copy — no one has to refresh or compare notes at the end.

**Everything stays in sync.** When you mark an athlete present or record a score, your co-coaches see it appear within a moment, and their marks show up for you the same way. So two coaches can split a roster — one on beam, one on bars — and the class fills in for both of you at once.

**The session state is shared too.** If any coach taps **Start class**, the class starts for everyone, and each coach's screen moves to the evaluation view automatically. The same goes for restarting or ending — the status pill updates for all of you.

**You can see who else is here.** The session header shows small avatars of the other coaches currently viewing the class, so you always know who you're sharing it with.

**Brief drops on the live feed reconnect on their own.** If your connection blips, the feed of other coaches' updates catches back up once you're reconnected. Attendance and scores part ways here, though. An attendance mark you tap while your device can't reach the server isn't queued — it snaps back with a "Couldn't update attendance — try again" message, so re-tap it once you're online. A score is more forgiving mid-entry: the value stays in your own view through a blip, because nothing is sent until you submit. Submitting still needs a connection, though — if you're offline when you press Submit, you'll see "Couldn't submit evaluations — try again." And live scores aren't re-sent after a reconnect, so if your device couldn't reach the server when you entered one, your co-coaches won't see it go live at all. To share it live, re-enter or change that score once you're back online — otherwise the athlete simply leaves everyone's live grid at submit, and the score is only visible later in the athlete's evaluation history.
