# Why do I see an organization picker?

> The coach portal follows your active club, and offers a picker when that club gives you no coaching access.

  * The coach portal opens for the same **active club** you last selected in the admin dashboard.
  * If that club gives you no coaching access, the portal shows a **Choose an organization** picker instead of bouncing you out.

The coach portal always follows one active club — the one you last selected in the admin dashboard. Most of the time that's exactly the club you coach in, and the portal opens straight to your day.

Sometimes your active club is one where you don't have a coaching role (for example, you're an admin there but coach somewhere else). Rather than send you away, the portal shows a **Choose an organization** screen listing the clubs you *do* coach in.

    Tap the club you want to open the coach portal for. The portal switches to it and reloads to that club's classes.

    Once you're in, use the organization switcher at the top of the sidebar (or **More** on a phone) to change clubs whenever you need to.

If you coach in only one club, you'll rarely see the picker — the portal just opens to that club.
