# How do I check an athlete's medical info and allergies?

> Read the medical card on an athlete's coach profile, including its red alert styling.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * The card's border turns **red** when the athlete has any allergies or conditions on file — a quick safety flag you can spot at a glance.
  * Medical info is shared across **every organization** the athlete belongs to, not just yours. It's entered by the athlete's guardian, not by coaches.
  * The card shows the **primary** emergency contact, or "None on file" when empty.
</Note>

Every athlete profile has a **Medical information** card so you can check what matters before a session.

The card lists five things:

* **Allergies** — shown as red chips with an alert icon.
* **Conditions** — also red chips with an alert icon.
* **Medications** — plain chips.
* **Dietary** — plain chips.
* **Emergency** — the primary emergency contact's name, relationship, and phone.

Any field with nothing recorded reads **None on file**.

The whole card gets a red outline whenever allergies or conditions are present, so you don't have to read each line to know an athlete needs extra care. Allergies and conditions are styled red because they're the ones you can't afford to miss on the floor.

The same medical snapshot also appears inside the **Report incident** form, so the details are in front of you if you ever need to file one.
