# What is the online store and POS?

> One product catalog powers both your public storefront and your in-person POS terminal, and every sale creates an order and an invoice.

  * Available on plans that include **Store** — if you don't see it, ask your Uplifter contact.
  * You build **one** product catalog and sell it two ways: on your public website and at the in-person **Point of Sale** terminal.
  * Selling needs the Store feature on. Card sales — online checkout or POS card tender — also need payment processing set up; cash POS sales don't.

The store is Uplifter's retail module for selling merchandise — leotards, water bottles, spirit wear, whatever your club sells. You manage everything from **Dashboard → Store**, and the products you create there appear in two places at once.

## The two selling surfaces

* **Online storefront.** The same catalog shows on your public website's **Store** page, where families browse and buy through the site checkout.
* **Point of Sale (POS).** A kiosk-style terminal for ringing up walk-in, in-person sales at your front desk, taking cash or card.

Because both surfaces share one catalog, a price or inventory change you make once applies everywhere.

## Every sale becomes an order and an invoice

Whether a sale happens online or at the POS, Uplifter records it two ways: an **order** (which you track and fulfill from **Store → Orders**) and an **invoice** (which lives with the rest of your club's finances). Online orders start as **Pending** and wait for you to fulfill them; POS sales are marked **Fulfilled** on the spot. Because store sales are ordinary invoices, refunds run through your Financials, not a separate store flow.
