# How do I change my club's website address?

> View and change your free Uplifter subdomain in Website Builder, with a live availability check.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Your address can use only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens.
  * Reserved words are blocked and every address must be unique — Uplifter checks availability live as you type.
  * You picked an address when you first created your club. This page is where you view or change it later.
</Note>

Every club gets a free Uplifter web address like `mygym.uplifter.app`. You can change it any time from Website Builder.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Website Builder">
    Go to **Settings → Website → General** and find the **Domain Settings** card at the top.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Use Uplifter Subdomain">
    Make sure **Use Uplifter Subdomain** is selected, then type your desired address in the box. The `.uplifter.app` suffix is shown beside it and can't be changed.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for the availability check">
    As you type, Uplifter checks the address. A green check means it's available. A red icon means it's **already taken**, or the format is invalid ("Only lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens allowed").
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save Changes">
    Once the check is green, click **Save Changes**. Your new address is live immediately for anyone who visits your published site.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If your plan includes it, you can point your own domain (like `www.mygym.com`) at your site instead — see the custom-domain article below.
