# How do I set up skills, levels, and disciplines?

> Build your training taxonomy: disciplines, ordered levels, and skills with per-skill scoring.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * Available on plans that include **Training** — if you don't see **Training Setup**, ask your Uplifter contact.
  * Each skill belongs to one discipline and can be tagged to multiple levels; pick a scoring type per skill — **Pass / Fail**, **Point Scale** (needs a minimum below the maximum), or **Repetitions** (needs a threshold of at least 1).
  * **Load defaults** seeds per-sport disciplines and is safe to re-run; a discipline that still has skills can't be deleted.
</Note>

Your training taxonomy is the shared vocabulary coaches use to evaluate athletes. Build it under **Settings → Training Setup**.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create disciplines">
    Open **Disciplines** and click **Add Discipline** (for example, Vault, Bars, Beam, Floor), or click **Load defaults** to seed a per-sport set. Drag to reorder.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create levels">
    Open **Levels** and click **Add Level** to add your ordered progression (Bronze, Level 1, and so on). Drag to reorder, and optionally group a level under a discipline.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add skills">
    Open **Skills** and click **Add New Skill**. Give it a **Skill Name**, choose its **Discipline**, optionally tag one or more **Levels**, and set its **Scoring** type. Point Scale and Repetitions skills need their thresholds filled in.
  </Step>
</Steps>

With skills in place, group them into reusable evaluation templates — see the related article.
