# Which purchases can I refund?

> What's refundable today, what isn't yet, and the per-line and per-invoice caps.

<Note>
  **Must know**

  * In this release you can refund **program enrollments** and **store products** only. Memberships, passes, and events are not refundable yet.
  * **Discount** lines (a negative amount) can never be selected.
  * Each line refunds at most its **post-discount price**, and an invoice can never refund more than was actually paid.
</Note>

Refunds work at the line-item level, so what you can refund depends on what each line paid for.

**Refundable today**

* Program enrollments (full-program and drop-in registrations)
* Store products

**Not refundable yet**

* Memberships
* Passes
* Events and competitions

If an invoice includes a mix, you can still refund the eligible lines and leave the rest.

**The caps that apply**

* **Per line:** the most you can return on any line is the price paid for it *after* discounts. The dialog shows this as **Max \$X** on each line.
* **Discount lines:** a discount appears as a negative line and can't be selected — it isn't money to give back.
* **Per invoice:** across all lines, you can't refund more than the invoice actually collected (payments already made, minus any refunds already issued).

If a line was fully discounted to \$0.00, there's nothing to refund — but you can still cancel it to end the enrollment.
