# How do referrals and referral credit work?

> How your club's referral code captures new signups and earns credit toward your subscription.

  * Each club gets its own unique **referral code** to share as a signup link.
  * A referral is credited only when a **new club signs up using your referral link** — not for existing accounts.
  * Referrers accrue **referral credit** that draws down against your subscription invoices.

Uplifter gives every club a unique referral code. When you refer another gymnastics club and they sign up through your link, you earn referral credit toward your own subscription.

**How a referral is captured**

Your referral code travels as part of a signup link. When someone opens that link and completes signup for a **new** club, Uplifter records the referral and attributes it to you. If the new club signs up without your link, no referral is recorded.

**How credit works**

Successful referrals accrue **referral credit** for your club. That credit is applied to your subscription — it draws down against your subscription invoices, reducing what you owe.

**Getting your referral link**

Your referral code is unique to your club. To get your shareable link, select **Refer & Save** in the dashboard's left navigation. The dialog shows your referral link with a **Copy Link** button, plus one-click sharing to Email, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X.
